General and Implant Dentist

GDC no. 104008

I qualified from Kings College London School of Dentistry in 2006. After completing my training year in Leicester, I returned to London to complete a Senior House Officer (SHO) year at Guys and Kings College Hospitals. In this year I worked in the Paediatric, Acute dentistry and Oral Surgery Departments.
After this year, I was employed by Kings College Hospital working as a Clinical Fellow in Oral Surgery. This year was a very enjoyable one, in which I carried out complex surgical procedures under IV sedation. I was also involved with teaching the undergraduate students and marking them on their clinical competencies.
I then embarked on my practice career. Dental Implants have always interested me, combining the surgical and restorative sides of dentistry. I have embarked on many years of courses on the subject and have now decided to formalise my training by studying for my MSc in Implant Dentistry. Part of my MSc has involved working with a renowned Harley Street Implant Dentist on complex implant cases.
My other main interests lie in cosmetic dentistry. My training with cosmetic dentistry has involved various courses in Invisalign clear braces and other cosmetic treatments.

I am also a trainer for newly qualified dentists. My role involves, mentoring and assessing foundation dentists to make sure they are working to a high standard. More recently, I have been involved in the national interviews for the recruitment of newly qualified dentists.

The way approach my treatment is simple; as if they were a family member. I will only do on a patient that I would carry out on a member of my own family.

andrezaAndreza (Andie) Tonello RDN, RDH, Cert. Oral health education, Cert. Dental sedation nursing, FdSc Oral health science.

GDC No. 205085

Since starting my dental journey as a nurse in 2000, I had no doubt that the dental profession was the right place for me, with a mixture of science, manual work and patient interaction it just ticked all the boxes.

During my career in Dentistry I had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including the departments of Oral surgery and Radiology at the world famous Guy’s and St Thomas hospital as a Dental Sedation Nurse, and that motivated me to continue my education in the area of prevention of oral diseases  so I would be able to support and motivate patients in achieving a healthy mouth.

I went on to complete a certificate in Oral Health Education at the Queen Mary University of London, following that, I also attained a degree in Oral Health Sciences at the University of Essex which enabled me to become a Dental Hygienist.

Apart from my passion for all things relating to science and medicine, I enjoy playing videogames and going to music concerts.
