Dr. Rumit Desai is the founder of Belmont Park Dental Care and a highly experienced dental implant clinician. He qualified from King’s College London School of Dentistry in 2006 and went on to complete a Senior House Officer year at Guy’s and King’s College Hospitals, gaining experience in Paediatric Dentistry, Acute Dentistry, and Oral Surgery.
Following this, he was appointed Clinical Fellow in Oral Surgery at King’s College Hospital, where he carried out complex surgical procedures under IV sedation and also taught undergraduate dental students — marking their clinical competencies and mentoring their development.
Dr. Desai says:
“Dental implants have always fascinated me because they bring together the surgical and restorative sides of dentistry. I treat every patient the way I would treat a member of my own family — with honesty, care, and a focus on long-term results.”
He has placed over 1,000 dental implants since 2010, with a personal success rate of over 95%. His cases range from single-tooth implants to advanced procedures such as sinus lifts and full-arch “teeth-in-a-day” (All-on-4) treatments. He also has a keen interest in complex dental rehabilitations for patients with severely worn or broken-down teeth.
To formalise his advanced training, Dr. Desai completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implants, which included working alongside a renowned Harley Street implant specialist on challenging cases.
Outside of dentistry, Rumit enjoys working out, travelling, and training for the occasional triathlon — keeping both body and mind in peak condition.
He also owns and operates Eltham Dental, a sister practice focused on delivering high-quality general and cosmetic dentistry in a relaxed and friendly environment.
