Xmas is an indulgent time, where sweet food is plentiful. So we shall share some tips on keeping your teeth healthy!

          1.Brush your teeth last thing at night and at least one time during the day with a fluoride toothpaste – Spit out after brushing and do not rinse, so that the fluoride stays on                 your teeth for longer!

          2. After eating, wait for an hour before brushing your teeth – Sweet food and drinks can soften the tooth enamel, so try not to brush straight after eating as this may wear the                            enamel away.

      3. Use dental floss or interdental brushes to clean between your teeth once a day – Only 21% of people clean between their teeth regularly!

         4. Reduce the frequency of consumption of sugary foods and drinks – This will help your saliva recover after a sugar/acid attack

         5. Drink water, eat some cheese or chew sugar free gum after meals – This helps to neutralise and clear away the sugar after meals
